Best Ice rink in London

Last Sunday my Silly Owner pulled out of her wardrobe those weird things she puts around her ankles. I know know what this means.....it's that time of the year again: ice-skating.

I shall save you the first "why does she bother?"  to go straight to the point. Come Christmas time, My Silly Owners and their friends try to go ice skating ...every year to a different ice rink.
Last Sunday Silly Owners and firends got all on a train from Waterloo......

.....heading to the best ice rink in London: HAMPTON COURT

There was some fierce skating and soem fierce "posing" in front of cameras...all of it with the stunning Hampton Court at the back.

Can you spot My Other Silly Owner in the picture below?

After much skating a well deserved pint / Irish Coffee / Red Wine in the best pub in Hampton Court, the King's Arms.

Dusk fell quickly upon My Silly Owners and friends and it was soon time to go home.

Quick recap: My Silly Owners went out of London to glide on some ice in the afternoon to then come back home. I am left with just one question: why did they all feel the needs to go out in the cold when they could have layed in the sun?

"Why did they bother?"

Listening to Red Hot Chili Peppers ?

In the last couple of weeks it was all about work for My Silly Owners and I was forced to have my dinner later than I wanted to....especially last Thursday.
Lately, I have been hearing My SIlly Owners talking about Red Hot Chili Peppers and a VIP box at the O2 ..but none of this made much sense to me. Then on Thursday they both came home incredibly late and in a sort of euphoric state.

When I confronted them on the subject of my "missed dinner" they apologised and told me that they were late as they went to listen to the Red Hot Chili Peppers playing live.

I still do not get it. I tried to listen very close to the Red Hot Chili Peppers myself but it really is "much ado about nothing"

....it soooooo does not justify my dinner being served four hours late.

More to the point: why would anybody bother?

Paris in East London

Oncle Luc came to visit for the week-end in a sort of "Paris meets East London".
A bit of background:

My Silly Owners and Oncle Luc met at University in San Diego (UCSD) and stayed in touch for the last 16 years!!!!!! Luc lived in Paris, then in London (50m from My Silly Owners), then Paris again.

In 2004 I was down on my luck, abandoned at a very young age, homeless and clearly not suited for the street life. One night Luc found me on My Silly Owners' balcony and fed me milk and bacon.

From that night everything changed for me.
Thanks to Oncle Luc .....

...I now own my own place....

...my personal sleeping chair..

...my own spot in the sun...

...a successful career as a blog writer

My blog had 4,300 hits last month, thank you all!!!!!!..Forget Ophra, I am the living proof that you can flip things around....just get yourself a couple of Silly Owners.

Anyway, let's not digress any further.

Oncle Luc was only in London for 24 hours but managed to do quite few things:

Spinning around London on Boris' bikes!

Spinning around in the New Spitalfield Playground!

There is a video on you tube about My Silly Owner and Luc spinning around in the playground (making all the other kids wait for their turn). WATCH IT HERE

...finding out about the new SHUNT venue...

...some culture fix in Bermondsey....

...being Silly in Bermondsey!

..talking to strangers in Bricklane

....bumping into celebrites  Karen and Nick from the Apprentice (white head and woman behind the pole).

My Silly Owners spent all day going around London with Oncle Luc whilst I preferred to stay home with Oncle Luc' s present from Paris.......God save Les Chats!

My Silly Owner and myself are completely obsessed with this wonderful washing powder which is probably the only thing you cannot buy in London.

Why should anyone bother going to France when there are ways to get the best of France to you?

Ileana and Guy get married -Villa Mangiacane San Casciano (Florence)

My Silly Owners were off again. On the 8th of October Ileana and Guy got married in the wonderful Villa Mangiacane in San Casciano, near Florence.  The wedding started at 4.0 pm on a sunny Saturday of October on the Tuscan hills.

Wedding Party and families...

Ileana throwing the bouquet...

Until here it looks like a normal wedding right?

Garufo - talented musicians and funny men!!!!!

Isn't that the groom behind the double bass of the Garufo band?

Isn't that the bride shaking it on the dance floor?

Isn't that My Other Silly Owner getting too comfortable on the dance floor??

Not sure who this is but he seems to be loosing his clothes fast!

It really was a great wedding party and the Italian press picked up on this too......

........the bride was incredibly beautiful, the dress was cut on her by her brother Guillermo Mariotto (who also designed these tasteful bomboniere...or favours, for the non Italians).

Recap: after not even a week from the first wedding....my Silly Owners were off again to fly to Florence to another beautiful wedding. Once again, the weather was lovely in London and since I was free from any wedding engagement I decided to spend the week-end on the balcony still in full bloom.....

...alternating morning reading in the sun....

...and resting exercises.....

...seriously....if your weekend was better than this do drop me a comment in the box below otherwise...

don't bother !
